Upon your arrival, you will be checked in by our administrative team. We will provide you a questionnaire to fill prior to being screened by our ophthalmic technician.
Additional tests may be performed and your eyes may be dilated during this period. You will then be seen by the doctor.
At Hunter Ophthalmology, we respect and value time and strive to not rush our consultations, giving you the time you deserve for a thorough eye examination and to address any questions.
Please allow approximately 1–2 hours for your initial appointment, noting that this may take longer if additional tests are needed.
Dilating drops may be administered for a more comprehensive eye assessment. This will cause blurred vision for about 4 hours, and you should avoid driving during that time.
We strongly advise that someone accompanies you and is available to take you home safely. If that isn’t possible, please arrange alternative transportation.
